SARAH JESSICA PARKER "Fanta Orange" Spessartite Garnet & Diamond Ring To Be Sold At Auction
Sarah Jessica Parker Designs Fine Jewelry
Sarah Jessica Parker is not ‘just’ a footwear, clothing and handbag designer, as the iconic actress is now adding fine jewelry designer to her already astounding resume. Creative and with a particular appeal for urban-chic styles, which at times revisit the iconic outfits she sported while filmingSex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker’s capsule collection is always filled with must-haves, and we bet her new venture of jewelry designs will follow a similar path.
Created in collaboration with London-based jewelry designer Kat Florence and dubbed the Flawless Diamonds Collection, Sarah Jessica Parker’s fine jewelry collection solely features D-grade stones (namely the highest quality of gems) from Botswana, with the prices starting from £1,300/,600.
“Our initial conversation [with Sarah Jessica] was about her being the face of our brand, but we decided it would be better if we went into partnership and make the face of the brand actually part of the company,” Kat Florence revealed to .
Allowing people to get sophisticatedly (relatively) affordable jewelry pieces was a must for both Kat Florence and Sarah Jessica Parker, and given the fact that all of the gems are D-grade stones, we could fairly state they managed to accomplish their goal.
“Kat’s trying to create jewellery that is at a price point that is doable,” Sarah Jesssica Parker told . “That is not the typical philosophy [usually associated with] diamond jewellery. She is the opposite of the big diamond industry.”
Sarah Jessica Parker took her new role as a jewelry designer so seriously, she studied day and night to design the staples, especially due to the capsule collection’s core philosophy, i.e. celebrating history.
The collection is, in fact, split into four “chapters”, each one of them celebrating different styles, techniques and decades of fine jewelry design. Throughout the year, Sarah Jessica Parker’s Flawless Diamonds collection will expand a lot, eventually reaching a grand total of 120 different designs (which are however going to be limited edition, with only 10/15 pieces available per style).
Heritage, Opulence, Symmetry and Pavé Hews are the four different chapters, and take inspiration from Art Deco architecture, Hollywood, the Thirties and the sparkles from the nightlife accordingly. However, aside from focusing on rather affordable price tags and celebrating historical designs, Parker also put a lot of emphasis on her own personal character, and perfectly managed to translate it into each one of her fine designs.
“There is so much that goes into jewellery,” Parker continued. “It is so personal. As an actor I have to remove all of my jewellery in order to take on the characters I play. I get to a trailer for work every day and I have to take off my jewellery to play a character, to be someone else. To me, jewellery is a very special choice.”
One-of-a-kind and elegant, the Sarah Jessica Parker x Kat Florence Flawless Diamonds Collection, along with its ad campaign shot by Peter Lindbergh, is already available for purchase on katflorence.com.
